First out this year was Annie & Frankie from County Mayo Ireland. It was a wedding in the tiny, gorgeous Sant Pere de Clarà chapel from the 900’s filled with candles, gorgeous aperitif with quails eggs amongst other culinary delights.
The colour scheme was silver and baby blue, romantic and elegant at the same time, just like the female star of the day, bride Anna Marie.
Liverpool and Man United fans united in the love of A & F as they all rocked the dance floor until the early hours! This was the first time we have heard references to Football during a Wedding Service. Father Francis, Frankies favourite Uncle, joked about the Best Men being United fans but somehow being good lads anyway..
Another thing I remember fondly was all the cool musical entrances of the bridal train to the marquis for the banquet! Bride, Groom, Maids, Best Men (Here come the men in black) and a surprise entry for Father Francis (Tom Jones!!) were hilarious!
It was also special in the way that Annie & Frankie had become friends with both me and my husband Matt who was invited to the wedding as well. Last year we had the tasting at Sauleda on my birthday which made me ask if I could bring Matt to it, also because of his Irish roots and both him and Frankie being Liverpool fans. I just knew thew would get on like a house on fire just as much as I felt a special connection with Annie. We had a blast!
