After more than 15 years working as a wedding photographer, it has proved extremely difficult for me to choose only 7 photographs to show what I do. This is because I put my heart and soul into every single wedding I photograph and because I strongly believe that every single love story is unique. So I’ve picked a bunch of pictures that reflects my work philosophy.
- Miguel & Halimeh’s wedding
Walking around el Born in Barcelona during a pre wedding photoshoot, I propose the soon-to-be newlyweds to place themselves in a space that I sense might be interesting. And, all of a sudden, we have the shot! The posture improvised by the couple and a person that appears out of the blue creates a mysterious atmosphere. It’s one of those magic moments that I cannot control but have always fascinated me.
- Miguel & Halimeh’s wedding
After months of preparations and days in which the nerves are on edge, here comes the time to have fun, forget about the problems and go with the flow. Or, at least, this is the feeling I get when I look at this picture, apart from peace and beauty. If possible, I like to take photos of the bride and the groom getting ready for their big day, enjoying once-in-a-lifetime moments in which I get to know all the family.
- Michel & Sandrine’s wedding
Sandrine has decided to make herself up. She has everything prepared, all written down, but time flies and we find ourselves racing against the clock. When I look at the drawing in which Sandrine has all her make up tricks, a funny and knowing look seems to tell me “Calm down. Everything is going to be OK”. In the end, the bride had to get dressed in a rush and we did not have much time to take pictures with the family, but, if you keep calm, everything goes smooth and comes out well.
- Joan & Griselda’s wedding
This picture of Griselda meeting again a friend she had not seen for ages is love elevated to the third power: the word “love” tattooed on her skin, love on her face and love on her expression. This is why I love this photograph so much, because its simplicity perfectly summarizes the essence of what a wedding is: a celebration of love between two people and also amongst friends and family.
- Ruben & Judith’s wedding.
Going for a walk in Sant Pol de Mar, a palm tree suddenly turns into a big lamppost. It’s a romantic image, in which the light of the Mediterranean Sea plays a leading role as well. This playful picture characterizes me. I love taking pictures, I love to play and I love to play with the light!
- Ruth & Jordi ’s wedding.
When two pink “ladies” meet. Kids at weddings are always the centre of attention and end up having a leading role. What I enjoy the most of photographing the little ones is that they are very funny and, above all, unpredictable. This picture is one of a kind, one of those small moments of great reward that the newlyweds might not have seen and this is why, when you show the pictures taken to them, they are extremely grateful for.
- Raul & Cristina’s wedding:
In the middle of dinner, a song was played and, without a moment’s hesitation, Cristina’s grandma started to dance. It’s impossible for me not to smile when I look at this picture. It gives me goose bumps! It’s great to see how some people are so lively and are always ready to have fun, no matter their age.
- Luis & Gemma’s wedding.
At the island of Formentera, enjoying the landscape, the light and the-all-over-the-place blue color, we took many romantic and funny pictures in beautiful scenarios. I personally identify myself with this one taken at Cap de Barbaria. It’s energetic and full of life!
