These days aren’t the easiest right now in Barcelona, as it is the the hottest June ever. Thermometers are reaching 40 degrees and the only thing I can think about is how happy I am to be in an office with air-conditioning and of course the beach. For this reason I want to dedicate this post to beautiful beach weddings.
Beach weddings make me think about guests all wearing white clothes; men wearing white linen shirts and straw hats and women long hippy white dresses all bare foot or with flip flops, hair covered with flowers or turbans. Flower crowns, whimsical elements, lace detailing and flowy fabrics sets a very relaxed style, easy going vibe that is somewhat reminiscent of island life.
A beach wedding reception can be organised by the beach and nicely decorated for the occasion at a “chiringuito” or secluded private area with candles, fairy lights and flowers. In this case we recommend an easy menu, based in barbecue, refreshing starters and bar with very cold cocktails. This down to earth style has proven popular, as more and more couples request a more relaxed and free vibe.
Some of our favourite places to organise weddings are by the beach. We are spoilt as we have lots of jewels by the Mediterranean sea and the Balearic islands. A wedding on beautiful and picturesque islands, surrounded by wonderful people, good weather, and delicious food is like a dream come true.
