This week I attended the Barcelona Bridal Week, which is one of the events in the year that makes me feel really proud of my city. Some of the best Spanish designers such as Rosa Clara, Pronovias, Inmaculada Garcia, Yolancris and others showcase their proposals for next year’s brides. This year we also had international designers Houghton and Justin Alexander presenting at the show.
I absolutely adore Yolancris designs, they are done for a brave and confident bride. Being still faithful to their boho-chic, in their new collection “Orchid” we could see, colourful flowers on the dresses, a bit risky, macrame, layers of the finest and textures, transparencies, crochet, midi gowns remind us the elegance of the 50’s.
Inmaculada Garcia surprised us this time with a return to simplicity, her “Golden Sunshine” inspired on a rural- urban style with brides wearing boots, or chic details like golden belts in an open front gown & simple tops that are more adapted to an urban bride. As usual, she uses the finest fabrics tulle, silk, croche, and organdy.
