This DIY is not only the easiest, but also the most time consuming one – BUT it’s totally worth it. You should definitely give it a try.
You will need: wine bottles, thick string (in a colour you like), scissors and spray-glue.
First, you want to make sure that your wine bottles are completely empty and clean. Also, you should remove the etiquette as good as possible.
The next steps are super easy: spray glue on your wine bottle and start wrapping around the string from top to bottom. This step will take some time, so have a seat outside and a cup of tea 🙂
Once you are finished wrapping the string all around, just cut off the excess. Then you should spray some of the glue on top of the string to make sure that it’s very secure.
Let it dry overnight and you are done!
Again: This DIY is perfect to personalize. Just glue on some dry flowers or pearls. Tie around a colourful ribbon or some lace.
It also looks very cool, when you create an ombé-effect with different colours of string. Instead of wine bottles you can also use cava or beer bottles.
You can use these bottles filled with flowers to decorate your venue. Also, you can fill them with sand and use them as weights for helium balloons. OR: just put some numbers on them and you have some cool table markers 🙂
