Blai is a young boy with a lot of momentum, so he fits perfectly in the profile of the entrepreneur. Blai’s business idea has been simply brilliant: buy an old lute (little fishing Mediterranean ship) that you can still see at the ports of the Costa Brava, and turn it into a small restaurant on wheels (food truck) where, due to their own small size, the cooks make a show-cooking before the wedding guests or participants in an event outdoors.
From this platform, and always keeping the smell of the Costa Brava in everything they do, Blai offers a menu as original and compact as the kitchen where it’s made. His ship can be present anywhere with a minimum of space and an access path. In a wedding it can solve the aperitif as well as the midnight snack, when the banquet is only a memory after a long time dancing and chatting.
The basic offer is composed of four dishes; two sweet and two savoury, depending on the time of the day and the preferences of the clients. Each of these specialties is completely original, this way you can ensure that your guests have probably never tasted anything like this. These dishes can be accompanied with two different ranges of beverages: the typical fisherman ‘cremat’ of rum (Traditionally a big clay saucepan full of rum with a little sugar, lemon slices and cinnamon, burning in flames) – enhanced by the chef’s secret recipe – and coconut combined drinks with or without alcohol.
But the possibilities of the ship do not end with the kitchen service. It also serves as decoration of the venue and can be dressed to suit the consumer with flowers, candles, etc …The ‘crew’ of the lute also comes dressed in sailor costumes. It almost seems like the venue has become a small port where magically a boat has docked with a crew eager to landfall. So it’s not only all about cooking but also an element of personalization and embellishment of your event.

Cheers Blai, we wish your ship always comes to fruition!
