When I heard that Inés wasn’t going to be able to attend the last day of shows at Barcelona Bridal Week, I jumped at the chance to go. Not only because it’s fashion week but because Houghton NYC were showcasing their designs and they didn’t disappoint! This non-traditional wedding gown brand more than delivered, turning the runway to a celebration of all things feminine with an edge.
Some models strutted down the aisle with fur jackets flung over delicate gowns, whilst others wore dreamy dresses with macrame features. I was in awe of the variation, with each style really accentuating and embodying different types of brides. The runway was enough for people to want to get married again! Some dresses were trapeze in style, around knee length, whilst others were emblazoned with embellished details. The low back detail of one of the white jumpsuits was beautiful, rock and roll yet pretty.
Not to mention the flirty fringing, rope sandals and mixed fabrics that made their way down the rug strewn runway for a super bohemian vibe. Houghton NYC added an amazing tough, elegant and New Yorker flair. Bravo!
