This Blog post is supposed to help you find some unique ideas for all the things you can print, for and around your wedding day. From a simple invitation or a post card to a foldable booklet, everything is possible 😉
Wedding Invitations
Sending out your wedding invitations might be the first sign to realise that it’s finally happening – your big day! Whether simple and modern or romantic and playful, your invitation should include information such as date, time and place. You can direct towards your wedding website for further details or give advise on desired dress code and possible colour theme.
Maybe you have a talented friend who can help you design you own wedding logo?
If you are just at the beginning of the planning process, how about sending a “Save the date” – note first, to ensure everyone can mark your wedding day in their calendar! This isn’t a formal invitation just a fun and creative reminder to get people to start organising themselves to come to your wedding.
Wedding menus
Good food is a basis for a good mood at your wedding reception. It is always best to let your guest know what they are about to try and taste, especially when you are presenting some local specialties. Guide your guest through your menu from Aperitif to Wedding cake. Try to concord with your colour theme and think about the menu’s place in combination with table decoration. If you’ve got some left space on the menu how about a small poem or a picture to make it more personal?
Guidance throughout the day
Some of our couples provide their guest with a guide or a time table, which will lead them through the day and gives some extra information. Explaining the Ceremony order, providing a translation for a reading, mentioning the music for Ceremony and couples entrance or introducing the wedding party, there are a lot of possibilities!
The layout can be creative as well. How about turning the guide into a fan to cope with the Barcelona sun or marking the different stops throughout the day with a yellow bow to give some guidance?
Creating a wedding logo
As we mentioned above it can be a fun idea to create your own wedding logo. This logo can be added on all the practical notes before the wedding, during the wedding and after the wedding. From the save-the-date note and the invitations, to the menu, the program, the table seating signs and fun gimmics during the wedding such as sunglases or signs to follow during the wedding day.
Minglepros, Wedding Bingo, Betting Card and some To-Do’s
There are some cool ways to encourage your guests to introduce themselves to the people they don’t know at your wedding or to get to know each other better. Give them some topics to talk about:
How about a small To-Do-List to ensure your guest won’t miss the important details of your wedding?
- Took a picture with the newly weeds?….
- Danced with the bride?….
- Tried all the food?….
- Signed the guestbook?….
- Met a new person?….
Another possibility is to play a round of wedding BINGO:
Tick the box if you met someone who…..
….went to school with the bride
….worked out with the groom
….travelled to 5 different countries
….knows all the brides middle names
First place price could be a dinner with the newly weeds?
Help them to become Minglepros and challenge them to discover who
….is a football pro
….is a fan of veteran mopeds
….loves coffee with Galliano
Are you sure that your guest know the wedding rules? 😉
- Before you get seated, clear your conscience, are you really invited?
- It is recommended to keep your clothes on during the whole evening.
- Everybody eats from their own plate. Should you run out of food, borrow from your left.
- Guests that have been left behind will be recovered by giving their description.
A regular betting competition can also be a fun entertainment.
“Thank you for celebrating our best day ever!”
Hopefully you will be able to look back on your wedding day with lots of beautiful memories, knowing that your family and guests played a huge part in making your wedding so special. Therefore a lot of our couples send out “Thank you” notes for their guests. Whether a post card, a picture book or a letter, such a summary of the day will help to capture your emotions and joy and make you appreciate that you could celebrate this big moment together with your loved ones 😉
