Jenny & Tim contacted us from Ontario and our entire communication was via emails and Skype whilst we were planning their wedding!
The couple wanted a romantic, special elopement so we decided on a ceremony on the terrace of the Famous Sagrat Cor church on the Tibidabo mountain by the Vintage Amusement park. With the world and the city of Barcelona at their feet, they said yes to each other.
Jenny was very movie star glamorous in her blush dream of a dress, yet very personal with sparkling pink sneakers from Kate Spade and white and clear blue bouquet. One of the camera click memory moments I have is of Tim tying the shoelaces whilst Jenny is sat on the bed at the hotel holding up he skirt of her dress…
They had Roba Estesa Terrace to themselves in the heart of Barrio Gotico and their menu was the creme de la creme… Listen to this; Salmorejo with apples, Iberian ham with tomato bread, Foie gras with apple and vanilla, Salmon with avocado, Corvina cebiche with passion fruit, Angler fish with celery and vegetables, Lamb with eggplant, rosemary and honey and to round things of a Red fruit soup with yuzu. Yummy yummy! Petit Caus Red and White wine and Extremaruim Brut Nature Reserva Cava. This menu also goes to show the scope and knowledge of our Barcelona chefs as unfortunately the bride’s list of allergies was extensive (all nuts, almonds, pumpkin seeds, crab, lobster, shrimp, scallops, dairy). As you can see, it didn’t stop Jenny from having the meal of her life!
After the meal, they had a first dance under the stars and church spires in Barrio Gotico then wandered off in the winding tiny alleys into the night as husband and wife…
