Our couples and clients often feel the same, they want to give something back and leave a positive footprint with Catalonia and its people. There are many great and easy ways to do this.
You can choose to hold your celebration at a venue where there are no canons or commissions and all the venue hire goes to a worthy cause like Sol y Vida
When you know your final number of guests or participants for your wedding you can order some extra menus and ask for these to be given to charity by the hotel, venue or catering company. Sanja & Robin (wedding couple from this summer) donated 30 menus from their wedding banquet at Hotel W to Chiringuito de Dios. The food was delivered uncooked to Wolfgang, who manages this charity restaurant, so that he could use it in the best way possible to feed the homeless, who come and eat at his place.
Cooked food at the weekends may be given to the organization Esperanca, who feed and clothe the homeless on the streets of the city. They also welcome donations of sleeping bags, underwear, socks, and toiletries. PearlSandals can happily help you with the purchase and logistics.
A great idea for a family, friends or colleagues get together and experience is to go on a tour with Hidden City Tours where ex homeless show you their Barcelona. Ex chef Ramon also offers a Gourmet tour with tapas at the Chiringuito de Dios.
A very generous idea is also to ask wedding guests to support to your favorite charity. Instead of or as well as a traditional wedding gift they donate money to a charity that you favor. Here’s a good one to put on your invitations or wedding website.

When PearlSandals was founded one of the goals was for 10% of the profit to go to charitable projects and we are happy to say that we have succeeded and gone a little bit beyond at 14%. In 2016 we will continue working in the service of love and sharing it too!
