Since the wedding season is right around the corner it is time to let you guys know what the ongoing wedding trends are. Rebecca Hoh-Hale, founder of the Most Curious Wedding Fair, has just revealed the newest trends in fashion, decorations and other details that will be huge this year.
- All pink everything!
Well, this trend is nothing for weak nerves. Blush, coral, fuchsia, rose, salmon…. it’s time to think pink! This trend will give that extra girly touch to your wedding – either on the cake, the flowers or even on the wedding dress. The pink colour will make everything look very cute.
- Back to 70’s
Do we have to say anything else about this trend? Everybody loves the 70’s – not only the music, but also the fashion is coming back this year. Oversized, embroidered or extra-long looks combined with a bouncy blow-dry and a glittery touch to your make-up will make you look like a 70’s queen. And it doesn’t have to be a dress: flared jumpsuits and trousers will make a statement this year.
- Feature jackets
Let’s be honest here: we are all tired of seeing the faux fur stoles everywhere. Make a statement with a cool and edgy leather or denim jacket with a phrase embroidered across the back. “New wifey” or “Mr. & Mrs.” as partner jackets will make you look like a badass couple.
- Pressed flowers
We all know that flowers are a MUST as wedding decoration. To make your drinks or cake look pretty, pressed flowers like pansies and daisies are a great and easy way. Another plus point: this trend will make everything look luxurious without spending lots of money!
- Giant balloons
Yes, we do mean balloons. Giant balloons. Every woman should be excited by reading these two words now. An affordable way to decorate a large area – different colours and variations will make your venue pop without being too cheesy.
- Neon signs
How about a round of applause for this new trend? Personalized neon signs will take your wedding venue to the next level. You can use them to mark the ceremony and bar area or just to have a cool background for pictures – this will light up your special day!
- Wedding tartes
Stop purchasing naked cakes and try the new French tartes instead. They are not only yummy, but also look great – you will need a wedding hashtag to post these beauties on Instagram!
