Masia Egara from 1588 is the Stately home of the Count of Egara . (Ca n’Amat de la Muntanya), located in Terrassa, 25km north of Barcelona, it is surrounded by 300 hectares of farmland and forest.
The Country House stands at the center of the property and it is a typical Catalan construction of the early 16th Century. The House is in excellent condition and its interiors boast beautiful furniture and paintings of all different periods, from 16th century tapestries to modern art.
The House is surrounded by 4Ha of fabulous centennial gardens, designed by the school of the famous architect Rubió i Tudurí, being one of the best preserved private gardens in Catalonia.
Amongst the personalities who have visited Masia Egara, they can count King Alfonso XIII and Queen Victoria Eugenia, who honoured the house in two occasions, as well as King Don Juan Carlos and Queen Doña Sofía. Another well-known guest who stayed at Masia Egara was Salvador Dalí, who signed the guestbook with a drawing.
The views stretch to Tibidabo in Barcelona, only 30 mins by car. The great gardens, the peace and quiet was amazing. Only one event per day suits us well together with the unlimited hours of stay.
The consecrated chapel can host up to 107 people but there are also several ceremony opportunities outdoors in either of the gardens or in front of the house. The same goes for banquets, aperitifs, corporate events, there are so many varied spaces to choose from. Looking forward to our first opportunity to show this marvel of a Stately home to a happy couple on the lookout for their dream location!
